Hrithik Roshan has proved his mettle in Bollywood. This actor made his film debut with ‘Kaho Na Pyaar Hai’. After which he ruled the hearts of his fans with his best action in superb films like ‘War’ and ‘Dhoom 2’. However, Hrithik turned down many film offers during his career. Today in this article we will talk about five such films whose offer Hrithik did not accept.
1.) Swades:
Shah Rukh Khan made the film a superhit with his tremendous performance in the famous film director Ashutosh Gowariker’s superhit film Swades. Although very few people know that Hrithik Roshan was the director’s first choice for this film. But Hrithik rejected the film saying that he was not ready to play the character in the film.
2.) Rang De Basanti:
The role of Karan Sanghani in Rang De Basanti, directed by Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra, was first offered to Hrithik Roshan. Talking about this the director said, “Hrithik was roped in for the role of Karan. He also loved the script but didn’t have time to work on this film.”
3. Bunty Aur Babli:
Hrithik was offered the role of Bunty in Bunty Aur Babli instead of Abhishek Bachchan. But he turned down this offer because earlier he had worked with Yash Raj Films in ‘Mujhse Shaadi Karogi’ which proved to be a flop.
4.) Dil Chahta Hai:
This film, directed by Farhan Akhtar, is still very much liked by the people. During a talk show, Farhan Akhtar revealed that he wanted to cast Hrithik Roshan as one of the three friends in Dil Chahta Hai. But Hrithik turned down the offer of Farhan’s film.
5.) In Main Hoon Na:
Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham, the pairing of two brothers Hrithik Roshan and Shahrukh Khan was well received by the audience. After which the director of ‘Main Hoon Na’ once again approached Hrithik for the role of Shahrukh’s brother but he refused to play the role of Shahrukh’s brother in the film.
